*OH NIGERIA MY FATHER'S LAND* A place of war instead of peace Sorrow instead of joy I wonder if things can change A place where top official use public funds for their selfish personal interest People are killed and slayed by terrorist as if they are animal...but nothing is done The hope and future of Nigeria seems to be bluur Hospitals and health centres lack equipment and this increase death rate While people in power go for treatment abroad Nigeria a land filled with natural resources, but we even seems to be the poorest Poverty rate rises everyday like the supply curve  We are the giant of Africa but we seems to be a coward Nigeria a place where the outcome of elections is known before election Voting doesn't even Change anything The body we even adopted *inec* they are independent ironically You have 4 years to prepare for an election Still yet you still said there's no adequate preparations A government who disrupt academic calenders .... *Oh Nigeria...
CHILDREN OF THEN AND CHILDREN OF NOW Sometimes I really imagined my live when I was younger to the life of my junior ones at my present age. The way children are relating to elder ones now is totally different from how relationship was in those days, should I call this “lack of respect or presence of mutual relationship’’ In my own sense I will refer it to mutual relationship, because children now are able to express themselves which is the best. I remembered very well that I grew up with fear instilled in me which has never given me the opportunity to express myself (so sad), the training made me loose courage ( although learning how to gain my courage back ). I believe children should also be given chance. I so much hate this saying E ma da lohun omo kekere ni ko ni ironu meaning (don’t mind him his still young he has nothing to think about), I believe the saying is very wrong; I am sorry to say that. The saying has actually killed many thought of being a better speaker. Chil...
LIFE OF LAST BORN This writeup is about the saying “last born enjoy most at home” do you agree? As for me I disagree, and I can vividly prove my reasons I have been dreaming about this day and it gladdens my heart writing this. Here, I have with me points why I think last born don’t enjoy ·          My number one point is doing the CHORE I don’t really see the pleasure in doing chore because its frustrating. I don’t really find pleasure in doing chores I even hate it when I hear “tmileyin lo fo abo yen” meaning timileyin go and wash the plate. The worse part of the story is that, when we are about to carry loads, no matter how strong the senior brother is, the junior ones especially the last born will carry the most heavy one. WHY? ·          The second point is that all THINKING are done by the parent or elder ones It is so painful when opinion are not accepted. If the elders make opi...
President  Muhammadu Buhari   has noted that the ongoing preparations by the  Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  towards the general election have really impressed him. Garba Shehu, special adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, noted that Buhari made the remark while addressing a meeting with the European Union Observer Mission (EOM) to Nigeria, at the state house, Abuja. Buhari said he was hopeful that the commission would deliver a good job, free of any hitch, adding that the INEC Chairman,  Mahmood Yakubu  briefed the council of the state about the commission’s plans. He further noted that the country had grown its electoral system and it is “getting better year after year”. “I am happy and impressed with the briefing he gave. I hope that the confidence he exuded and the intellect he brought to bear on the report will be justified at the end of the day,”  he said. “Having participated in elections four times in...
